About the Point Church
The Point Church Mission
Our desire to be a church who loves people, proclaims Christ, and disciples believers through gospel-centered fellowship and teaching.
Love People
It is only by the power of Christ in us, as believers, that we can begin to extend to others this selfless love. We desire to be a church that loves people through our words and actions (1 Cor. 13:13).
Proclaim Christ
We have been commanded to take the message of God’s amazing love, Christ’s sacrifice and His victory over death to everyone we come in contact with every day. The cross of Jesus redeems sinners and connects us to the one true God who desires an intimate relationship with each and every one of us (Matthew 28:19-20).
Disciple Believers
It is our responsibility as the church to walk beside our brothers and sisters in Christ and build each other up, growing in our knowledge of Christ together and our love for others. We are to teach, preach, serve, pray and live life to glorify God (Prov. 27:17).
What is the Gospel?
The Gospel is defined as “good news” …and that’s what it is. The gospel reveals God’s plan of redemption for our broken and fallen world through the life, death, resurrection and ultimate return of His son, Jesus Christ. The salvation that Christ paid for with His life is a free gift to all that believe. God’s grace covers anyone, no matter where you have been or where you are now in life. We can’t earn our own way to heaven. It is not by good works or self-improvement that we receive God’s grace and mercy. It is only by believing in Christ and giving our lives over to Him that we are saved from sin’s penalty. This new life in Christ brings freedom. It provides each believer with an eternal inheritance and a new identity in Christ. God desires a close, intimate relationship with you. He loves you…. enough to die for you.
“I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.” John 10:10
